It's wrapped in copper wire shiny as a new penny and hung on a red cotton cord.

The bronze maple leaf represents the season of fall when the spring leaves yield their exuberant color to the dismal winter. But all is well because no matter how bleak and unrelenting the winter is, it will melt into spring, as is the nature of seasons.
